An East Woonona resident has finally discovered they’re $200,000 richer – more than three months after winning a Lucky Lotteries windfall with one random number.
The resident secured the guaranteed first prize in the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw on September 27.
The entry was unregistered, meaning NSW Lotteries officials had no way of getting in touch with winner.
More than three months after the draw, the lucky lotto player checked their ticket at an outlet.
Although, just how they plan to use their windfall will forever remain a mystery. The winner has chosen to remain anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry of one random number was purchased at the East Woonona Newsagency.
Owner Paul Schmidt said he was relieved to hear the winner had finally claimed their prize.
“We were really hoping our customer hadn’t lost their winning ticket so I’m thrilled to know they’ve checked their ticket and claimed their prize,” Mr Schmidt said.
