The wicketkeeper-batter is one of the region’s brightest talents, having starred for ACT/NSW Country at last January’s Under 15 National Championships.
Her performances at that tournament saw her selected in the CA Under 15 Talent Squad, a selection that ultimately led to this latest accolade.
CA XI coach Leah Poulton said the tournament provides those in the squad with the chance to play against older, more developed opponents.
“This squad has become an important step in the pathway and presents the selected players with a terrific opportunity to further develop their skills against quality opposition, and I’m really looking forward to working with them,” Poulton said.
Burton will be joined at the tournament by Dapto’s Sarah Young, who will represent ACT/NSW Country.
