Woonona beach will play host to the three-day event, which will mark the climax to the elite junior competition.
Recently crowned Australian under 18 girls champion Molly Picklum will arrive in Wollongong as one of the favourites to take out the girls 16 and under event and she’s looking forward to competing against high-calibre competition.
"The GromSearch National Final is one of the most hotly contested events in the country and I would love to get a title to take home before I'm too old to compete in the series," Picklum said.
"The level of surfing in these events is so high and I can't wait for it all to get underway."
An internationally-renowned event, the series has acted as a stepping stone for numerous World Surf League stars including Culburra’s Tyler Wright and Gerroa’s Sally Fitzgibbons.
