Bowls NSW has introduced an over 60s (Senior) and President’s Reserve (Grade 5-7) event as part of championships for all zones in 2019 with the winners to play for a state title. Entries close on January 22 with the tournaments to begin on February 2 and finals at Warilla on February 16.
‘’We expect the entry numbers for the (Open) Fours to go down but we’re extremely hopeful that overall with the addition of two new championships events that the numbers will be up,’’ Zone 16 official Brian Gibson said.
‘’Our area was one of the big supporters of bringing in a Senior Fours and President’s Reserve event that carry championship status and earn the winner at shot at a state title.’’
The three Zone Fours events will be held over five playing days and all finals on February 16.
