The $31 outsider caused a boil-over to provide Butler, who currently has just six horses in work, with the biggest victory of his training career.
A Snip Of Cyndy surged down the outside to beat Embezzlement by two lengths, with Nicconita close up in third.
“I am pretty emotional,” Butler said.
“What these owners have had to put up with in regards to the time she had in limbo. There was many problems she had.
“I took on her on and we have taken our time. There was a little bit between runs but that was never going to be an issue today.”
The Highway success came at A Snip Of Cyndy’s fourth start for Butler after the mare made the switch from former Kembla trainer Michelle Ritchie’s stable last year.
Jockey Shaun Guymer has partnered the four-year-old mare on all four of those starts and was ecstatic with how well things had gone to plan.
“To me it felt pretty painless really,” Guymer said.
“We jumped into a lovely position and settled just worse than midfield.
“We always travelled so strongly.
“Coming to the top of the straight I just started working my way to the outside because I know how good of a turn of foot she has got.
“She showed that.
“When I pushed the button on her she really let down well.”
