Aaron Finch hopes an enforced break from international cricket will help him to work through his technical shortcomings, conceding he was the weak link in an improved Australian batting lineup during the ODI series against India.

Australia's white-ball skipper struggled during the 2-1 series defeat, scoring just 26 runs from three innings.
It continued a brutal summer for the Victorian, who was axed from Australia's Test squad after a string of batting failures.
Overlooked for the Test series against Sri Lanka starting on Thursday, Finch will spend the next month in the BBL with Melbourne Renegades before a limited-overs tour of India in late-February and a series against Pakistan in the UAE.
The Renegades skipper returned to action in Saturday night's derby, hitting two sixes before holing out for 14 as the Stars cruised to a six-wicket victory.
Having kept a punishing schedule over the past few years, Finch expects to benefit from some time at home after a difficult ODI series.
"It'll be good to be at home and to spend some time around some friends again," he said.
"It was obviously a disappointing series. Nowhere near as many runs as I would have liked or as big an impact with the bat.
"We've seen some real improvement in the way we've batted in the last three ODIs in particular. I was probably the weak link in that which is disappointing for me as the captain of the side."
Finch expects to have time in April for a rare holiday with his wife before gearing up for the World Cup in England starting in May.
More immediately, he plans to spend time fine-tuning his batting technique.
India's quicks worked Finch out in the Test series and swing king Bhuvneshwar Kumar made the 31-year-old his bunny during the ODIs, dismissing him three times.
"I think this time will be really good to be able to work on my game with some more time in the schedule," Finch said.
"I think it will allow me to work on specific things in my game. When you're trying to tinker with a few things with a day in between games and things like that, you don't have enough time to hit enough balls to be able to get that set.
"I'm really excited about the next couple of weeks to work on my game and hopefully get that right. I've got a lot of confidence in myself that I can do that but time will tell."
