Both the NSW Men’s and Women’s Under 21 indoor hockey teams will contest Tuesday’s gold medal matches after claiming semi-final victories on Monday.
The men’s team, featuring Illawarra representatives Tom David, Jack Donovan, Daniel Jolliffe, Callum Mackay, Josh Mayo, Thomas Miotto and William Orth will take on Queensland after defeating Western Australia 8-5 in Goulburn on Monday.
Miotto scored a hat-trick for NSW in the semi-final victory.
Queensland and NSW drew 4-4 when they faced earlier in the tournament.
The women defeated Victoria 5-1 in their semi-final and will face the ACT in the final.
Kelsey Hughes, Keeleigh McCauley, Riley Smith and Helena Tobbe will represent Illawarra in the contest.
NSW claimed a 5-1 victory over ACT in the pool stages.
