Bodyweight exercises are a great way to activate muscle fibres when you have no equipment, all you need is a small space on a flat floor and away you go.
Some of the best bodyweight exercises that work muscles from head to toe include:
- Push Ups (chest, triceps and shoulders)
- Prone Hold ( abdominals and lower back)
- Squats (quadriceps, glutes and hamstrings)
- Lunges (quadriceps, glutes and hamstrings)
- Crunches (abdominals)
These are just some of the exercises that can be performed without equipment. It is ideal to work these movement to fatigue for 4-5 sets to ensure you are getting a similar effect to your gym workout.
