The Illawarra Innovative Industry Network (i3net) has named its new board for 2019 and plans for the year ahead.

Emilio Salucci has been returned as i3net chairman and said after a successful year of events, business development opportunities and member collaborations, i3net’s new board was looking forward to continuing to showcase industry in the Illawarra with a new board.
Mr Salucci had served his full term on the board, however was able to return due to a clause in the constitution.
“I had served my full-term on the board,” he said.
“However, as per the i3net constitution, there was a possibility of being invited to return to the Board if there were vacancies,” he said.
“I am pleased to say that I was given this invitation by the Board. Proudly, I was offered the opportunity to lead the network as Chairman. This is an honour for me. And I thank the Board and the network for the continued support and confidence in my leadership.”
Mr Salucci mentioned the former board did a fantastic job, and that he was looking forward to taking their work even further.
“We have a solid foundation and excellent reputation. The new board will work together to implement our strategic plan, with goals for the short, medium and long term. Among the key objectives for 2019 is to grow the network, and expose our members to more and more opportunities”
The 2019 i3net board is:
- Emilio Salucci, Broadspectrum. Chairman.
- Robert Donsante, Klondu. Deputy Chairman
- David Apolo, KPMG. Treasurer. (New in 2019)
- John Zagame, R.Stahl Australia.
- Yvonne Walker, HR with Ease.
- David Bridge, Bridge Project Solutions.
- Dan Henricson, EnterpriseIS. (New in 2019)
- Mark Grimson, Wollongong City Council.
- Zahra Shahbazian, University of Wollongong. (New in 2019)
i3net executive officer Bianca Perry said she was excited the Board is made up of new and returning members.
“It’s really positive to have such a strong cross section of directors to represent industry in the region,” she said.
“With this board we have the best of both worlds, experience and fresh eyes. It’s going to be a great 12 months as we continue to work to benefit industry in the Illawarra."
Ms Perry said i3net’s first event for 2019 was already planned.
It will be a breakfast event where the network with a presentation from South32 on February 22.
Speakers have also been arranged for the monthly networking events in March and April and the annual Illawarra Industry Showcase will be held again later in the year.
