Both brothers really enjoy the supported holiday options available through Trusted Travel and love the chance to get out and about, make new friends and meet up with their friendly Trusted Travel staff members who they describe as ‘excellent’.
Despite their challenges both are keen to take up any opportunity and Byron says, “These holidays are fun, enjoyable, relaxing and give us a chance to do things we may not normally be able to achieve.”
Last year included a great deal of fun with days out and trips away, the big highlights being the State of Origin Cruise to Melbourne in June and Byron learning to surf on a South Coast holiday.
Travelling with a bunch of friends, the brothers reported that the days and nights aboard the P&O Explorer were packed with awesome activities.
“Mostly it was footy related (fine by us footy fanatics) but there were also movies, games, waterslides and all manner of different live performances – it was great!” Cameron said.
The day out at the State of Origin was “unforgettable” with a great win for the NSW Blues and their group were afforded the opportunity to meet some footy legends.

Byron decided to do the surf trip, this was his first experience and he said, “I love the Trusted Travel holidays. The surfing trip was the best thing I have ever done.
“I had never surfed before and never thought I would be able to do something like that. The staff were really outgoing and fun and we had a lot of good chats. They really listened to me. The other clients on the trip were awesome too. I just can’t think of a bad word to say about it.”
One of the support workers who assisted on the trip Dave Chesher, commented, “I know I say this a lot in my job, but today was a very, very special day. The instructors were awesome, I’m not sure if they knew what to expect when our mob arrived down at the beach, but from the get go they were amazing. Everyone really had the best day out.”
Both Byron and Cameron are busy planning their trips with Trusted Travel for 2019 and when you ask them why they are so keen their response is, “Because there are lots of laughs, it is good fun, really enjoyable and everyone is so helpful and friendly.”
