Following the death of lead singer Chrissy Amphlett in 2013, guitarist Mark McEntee enlisted Lauren Ruth Ward and Frank Infante to hit the road in 2019.
“I’m not trying to replace Chrissy, but I really want to play the songs we wrote together,” McEntee told Sunrise last year.
“It’s not a sad thing, it’s a celebration, not a tribute.”
The group was due to perform in cities throughout the country, including Waves, Towradgi Beach Hotel on March 14.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the forthcoming Divinyls Australian tour has been cancelled,” a statement issued by the band’s publicist said.
“All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. We apologise to existing ticket-buyers for any inconvenience.”
