Table 426 is a culinary gem in Corrimal that is dedicated to offering a dining experience that reflects just how passionate they are about fresh food.
“We are a mother-daughter team delivering high quality food and service to our local area,” Nataly said.
The beginning of the restaurant dates back to 2006 when an opportunity arose for Marisa to undertake a business venture as the caterer inside a local bowling club and so they opened Imagine Restaurant.
Cooking and good food had been a huge part of Marisa’s upbringing and she also had extensive experience working in restaurants both overseas and in Australia.
“We converted an extremely quiet venue into an extremely busy and successful business for both us and the bowling club. We attracted many local families and were booked out every Friday and Saturday with lines going out the door,” Marisa said. “The bistro was a great place to make a name for ourselves and in 2009 we decided it was time to venture out on our own.”
In 2009 Marisa bought an Italian pizza restaurant and continued to operate Imagine Restaurant in the new establishment adding gourmet pizzas to the menu, while offering a la carte cuisine with Italian influences.
After travelling the world to develop her own culinary experience, including working with renowned chef Jamie Oliver, in 2016 Nataly (Marisa’s youngest daughter) bought into the business and together Nataly and Marisa rebranded and revamped the venue.
“We both always wanted to have a modern a la carte menu, that was where our passion was. We renamed the business Table 426 and renovated the interior of the restaurant. We went from a casual European restaurant to a modern Australian restaurant with European influences,” Nataly said.

After 11 months of business, Table 426 won their first Australian Good Food Guide Chef Hat. They have also won the AGFG “Reader’s Choice” award for Regional Wollongong and the Illawarra for four years in a row (2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019).
“It is so exciting that our customers value us enough to vote for our restaurant. It means the world to us,” Marisa said.
Table 426 puts their success down to the fact that they are always trying new things to keep their customers happy and engaged.
“We host degustations three to four times a year working with local wineries, we offer Spanish Fiesta evenings with Spanish entertainment and food and hold high teas once a month on a Sunday afternoon, making all the pastries and savouries in house,” Nataly said.
“We have a baby grand piano in our bar which is played every Friday and Saturday evening by a local musician and we have a contemporary bar where we offer cocktails and dumplings.”
The restaurant uses artisan products and supports other local businesses.
“This year we celebrate our 10 year anniversary since we opened the doors of Imagine Restaurant in our own establishment,” Marisa said. “Running a business for those many years alone is an achievement, even more so these days with such a changing economy and so many more restaurants opening up.”
