The band, with members hailing from Wollongong, Shoalhaven and Sydney, have revealed the cover art and track-listing for their forthcoming album Fallen Idols.
Fallen Idols is due for release at the end of April.
“After a lot of work and a busy couple of years touring and writing, we’re just about ready to unleash our new album,” front-man Tim Grose aka ‘Lord Tim’ said.
“Anyone who has followed what we’ve done over the years should know what to expect by now, which is ‘the best damn mix-tape you’ll ever hear’ kind of deal.
“We proudly identify as a heavy metal band but as usual the album goes off on wild tangents ranging from light melodic rock to blast-beat heavy thrash.”
They’ve also released a video clip for the opening track United (Welcome Back).
You can watch the video here.
The Australian CD version of the album will also contain bonus tracks, including covers of Break the Ice (John Farnham) and Touch the Fire (Icehouse).
LORD is essentially a continuation of Dungeon, one of Australia's longest-running melodic metal acts.
The band has a long history of international touring with the likes of Queensrÿche, Helloween, Saxon, Iced Earth and Nightwish.
In late 2016, LORD was invited to play the prestigious ProgPower USA festival in Atlanta, Georgia.
