Taime Marsh is living a 16-year-olds dream after quitting high school and joining his first serious rock band, The Witching Hour, as the lead singer.

The Central Coast-based group has spent the last three months writing and recording material and recently released the song Lay You Down which is currently number 1 on the Triple J Unearthed chart.
They’ve also got their first tour together on the cards with gigs in Newcastle, Budgewoi, Gosford and Bulli’s Heritage Hotel on February 22.
“I’m really stoked, I’m really excited to get our music out there,’ Marsh said.
Marsh commutes from the Illawarra to jam with his band mates, but spends several hours each day practicing his craft.
“From day one the synergy between the boys was just instant,” mum Cynthia said.
“I’m really happy that Taime gets to do what he loves full-time and he’s with three other band members that are just … great talent, great musicians. And they've really taken Taime on and they’re just this nice cohesive group.”
As for how his teachers at St Joseph’s Catholic High School reacted to the teen quitting school, they were “stoked”.
“The pretty much said ‘it’s awesome what you’re doing good luck’,” Marsh said.
Guitarist Jacob Richardson, drummer Bailey Graeber and bassist/keys Brad Hughes make up the rest of the band.
They’ll play at the Heritage Hotel in Bulli on February 22 with special guests Roses in Hand, The Culture Industry and The Red Belly Bluesman.
