A reconnoitre of your target beach at low tide should indicate where the gutter will be at high tide.
There were a couple of confirmed reports of some better sized mulloway off the sand but the best info that could be extracted was fish north and use fresh bait.

Gerringong Hotel FC started their fresh annual comp report with a rundown on last year’s placegetters that saw the rock section of the comp coming down to the wire between four people that were all in the running for top place.
It was Randall Pring who claimed top honours in the last comp of the year – congrats Randall.
The January comp saw some hot flatty fishing in a local lagoon and Anthony Reed and Kelly made the most of it with some nice lizards tabled.
Local beaches produced some great whiting on beach worms and an early morning start down at Gerroa resulted in 10 nice fish that was topped off later in the day with another 2 studs.

The kids of the sub-junior tribe have been enjoying some nice catches of lizards in the Shoalhaven.
The salmon have been scarce but a few recent schools were in close enough to secure half a dozen nice fish with the best at 2.3 kilos.
Todd Walker put a mullet on the board for ‘fish of the month’ section for January but the bream proved very hard to find last month let alone capture.
