As a former rock journalist herself, Steph Paynes says it's not always easy in the moment to predict which musical acts will stand the test of time.

"I think with Led Zeppelin, the irony is that they got very little good press," she said.
"While they were going strong, they were pretty much brushed off by a lot of the major press.
"It was like they were just, 'oh, they make a lot of money, they eat groupies for lunch and they make this music that's bombastic'.
"Well, two of those things were right," she laughed. "But the music part, clearly, was just so much more sophisticated than I think anyone really realised at the time."
Critical sniping many years ago aside, even decades after their split Led Zeppelin's music continues to have considerable appeal - to the extent that their fare is still being played live in 2019 to fans of all ages.
One of the acts carrying the classic rock torch is New York-based Led Zeppelin tribute act, Lez Zeppelin.
Guitarist Paynes founded Lez Zeppelin - an all-female band paying homage to the English hard rock titans - a decade-and-a-half ago.
"Kids are growing up now, and it's their favourite band," she said of their heroes.
"Sometimes we look out into the audience, and I see a front row of young boys who are maybe 15 to 17 with long hair, and I think to myself, 'have I just walked through a wormhole? Is it 1972?'"
Lez Zeppelin have toured internationally, including playing festivals such as Bonnaroo, Voodoo, Isle of Wight, Download, Hellfest, Rock on the Range and the Concert for Mumbai.
They will also be touring Australia for the first time in March/April.
"It is quite amazing," Paynes said of her band's longevity.
"At first it was an idea who's time had come, and I guess now it's an idea that will never go away," she laughed.
"But people still love it, we still love it, and it's the kind of music that has clearly withstood the test of time.
"There are so many people who are absolutely in love with Led Zeppelin, and want to hear it."
In addition to their years of high-profile touring and audience acclaim, the quartet has also received the ultimate endorsement - the approval of Zeppelin guitar master Jimmy Page.
Page attended one of their shows, and has praised the group's energy, passion and musicianship.
"I've met Jimmy a few times, and they all know about the band," Paynes said.
"They love it, and just think it's great, which is amazing for us. Jimmy's heard our records, it's crazy. So they seem to approve."
-Lez Zeppelin will perform at Waves, Towradgi Beach Hotel on Friday, March 29.
