Emergency services were called to Calderwood Road about 10.20am to reports a 31-year-old woman had lost control of an all-terrain vehicle and crashed into a fence with three children on board.
A 10-year-old girl from Birrong has been airlifted to the Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick with serious chest and head injuries.
An 11-year-old girl was taken to Wollongong Hospital with a shoulder injury and a second 11-year-old girl was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The driver, a Marshall Mount resident, was taken to Wollongong Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and mandatory testing.
Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit will continue inquiries into the events leading up to the crash.
