Nervous An Weird, trained by Andrew Paraskevas, came through three heats as the quickest qualifier after clocking 26.33 seconds.
Feral Franky (26.43) and Major Riot (26.42) prevailed in tight finishes heats two and three. The top-two in each heat and fastest two third placegetters all booked their spots in the final.
“I reckon you could make a case for every final. It is going to be very even as there was very little between the times,” Bulli Greyhound Club’s Darren Hull said.
Victorian trainer Anthony Azzopardi has Major Riot and Double Tax (26.47) in the decider.
“Every dog is a worthy winner in that final, don’t you worry about that,” he said.
It will be free entry on the weekend. There will be a host of on-course entertainment including the Super Wrestling Heroes.
