The annual feminist festival (to coincide with International Women's Day) is designed to make people think and ask questions about gender, justice and equality.
Satellite sessions include a panel discussion of the #MeToo movement; Feminism in the Arab World; and Leading While Female - a discussion with Julie Bishop, Linda Burney, Sarah Hanson-Young and Julia Banks.
Spokeswoman Edwina Throsby said this year's theme was about looking forward.
"Often we get stuck thinking about the same old problems in the same way," Dr Throsby said. "But this festival seeks out new voices, new perspectives and new arguments, to consider how feminism is evolving for all people, from all backgrounds, all over the world.”
The local live stream event will be hosted by Malika Elizabeth Reece and Diana McLaren who run Wollongong’s all female comedy/variety room, She’ll Be Right, at the Servo Food Truck Bar in Port Kembla.
While social enterprise Rumpus (formerly Wild Rumpus) will host a Lino Print Workshop where attendees can make their own portraits.
