The first ever Wollongong Harbour Land And Sea Clean Up will see a host of community organisations unite as one.
Divers will target rubbish on the sea floor, surfers will clean the water around the harbour and community groups and the public will target the harbour foreshore and City Beach.
Organisations involved are the Rotary Club of Wollongong, Plastic Free Wollongong, The Surfrider FoundationUOW Club, Peloton Against Plastic, Fair Food Forager, Wollongong Freedrivers, the UOW Scuba Club, Take 5 Fusion and the Harbour Hunks scuba group.
The Wollongong City Council is assisting with the event management and co-ordination.
Members of the public who wish to take part must register at 9am at the registration point marked by the Rotary marquee beside the Yachties Cafe in the centre of the harbour.
Participants are asked to bring their own gloves and a reusable water bottle for filling at one of the water stations.
An event briefing will be held at about 9.20 am.

Rubbish collected during the day will be collated at the registration point, sorted and recorded for inclusion in the Clean Up Australia Day national rubbish survey.

Please remember volunteers must bring their own gloves and water bottle and be at the registration point at 9 am. Registrations are at the Wollongong Harbour at the Rotary Club of Wollongong gazebo next to Yachties Café, located at the end of endeavour drive, in the middle of the Harbour, near the Wollongong Harbour Boat Ramp.
