Books are making way for musicians, a pool party, moonlight cinema and scavenger hunt at the University of Wollongong until Thursday.
Thousands of students are kicking off the academic year and getting an introduction to campus life at the annual Orientation Festival.
The three-day event hosted by Uni Life is giving new students a taste of the breadth of activities, events, and sports they can get involved in at UOW, and also help them to meet new friends from all walks of life.
More than 80 clubs are taking part in this year's O-Festival, held as usual during O-Week.
Musical performances and carnival games are being held across the Wollongong campus, while the popular Pool Party, a highlight on the O-Festival schedule last year, is back this year.
Students will finish the week on a high note with the O-Party, featuring great musicians spinning tunes all night at Uni Bar.
