A 15-year-old boy has been flown to a Sydney hospital after being knocked unconscious in a motorbike accident near Wollongong on Saturday.

The teenager was competing at the Mount Kembla motocross complex when he miscalculated a jump and was hit by another rider about noon, NSW Ambulance Illawarra district Inspector Terry Morrow said.
"He was knocked unconscious for a period of time and it appears that he may have broken his femur," Inspector Morrow said.
The boy's parents were at the track at the time of the accident.
He was flown to the Sydney Children's Hospital at Randwick for further treatment, with his mum accompanying him aboard the rescue helicopter.
