Incumbent members and candidates from major political parties have put up their hands to become Illawarra's next state representatives ahead of the election on March 23.
Candidates were required to nominate for the seats of Wollongong, Keira, Shellharbour, Heathcote and Kiama before Wednesday 12pm.
The final nominations will be revealed following ballot draws on Thursday.
The draw determines which position candidates' names will appear on the ballot paper when residents go to polling booths on election day.
Incumbent Labor MPs Paul Scully (Wollongong), Ryan Park (Keira) and Anna Watson (Shellharbour) have nominated as has Liberal MPs Gareth Ward (Kiama) and Lee Evans (Heathcote).
Opposing Mr Scully in the seat of Wollongong is Liberal candidate Zachary Fitzpatrick, Greens candidate Benjamin Arcioni and Animal Justice Party candidate Benjamin Bank.
Liberal candidate Chris Atlee and Kaye Osborn from the Greens will try to topple Mr Park.
In Shellharbour Liberal candidate Shane Bitschkat and Greens candidate Jamie Dixon will try to unseat Ms Watson.
Mr Ward will battle it out with Labor candidate Andy Higgins and Greens candidate Nina Digiglio for the seat of Kiama.
Maryanne Stuart from Labor, Greens candidate Mitchell Shakespeare and James Aspey from the Animal Justice Party have nominated for the seat of Heathcote.
