With a chance to finish second on the ladder with a big win, the Keira players entered the match determined to squash a Wests side hoping to play finals spoilers for the second-straight week.
The focus quickly turned into results, with Neel Honavar taking six wickets as the Lions rolled Wests for 50.
Keira were barely troubled during the run chase, with Tane Nunn and Jack Dobinson steering the team to a convincing nine-wicket victory in just 10 overs.
Captain Kyle Connor was pleased with the win and said the result sets his team up nicely for the semi-finals.
"It was a pleasing performance," Connor said. "It was pretty beneficial to win the toss and bowl first, with a bit of grass on top. But we still put the ball in the right areas, which was good.
"Neel pitched it up, hit good areas and managed to get a few wickets, which should boost his confidence going into the semis. Then the run chase, it was good to chase them down only losing one wicket, which will give those guys in the top order a bit of confidence."
The Lions were locked in a three-way tussle for second on the ladder, with Wollongong, Keira and Balgownie all level on points heading into Saturday's final round.
With so much on the line, all three teams were able to record bonus-point victories, and the finishing order remained unchanged from before the day's 50-over matches.
That will see Wollongong host Keira in a two versus three fixture, and minor premiers Northern Districts take on Balgownie in the second semi-final.
Connor was disappointed his side was unable to secure second place, and the advantage should rain strike next weekend, but said the team will head into the Wollongong clash with confidence.
"Wollongong will be more fancied, they have a strong batting lineup, so we're going to have to play our best cricket to beat them.
"If we can play to our potential over the next two weeks, we'll be hard to beat."
Wollongong also had a perfect finals tuneup, recording a comfortable win over University. Like Keira, Wollongong won the toss and sent their opponents in as the clouds loomed overhead, and Uni's batsmen struggled from the outset.
David Wood claimed five wickets as Uni were all out for 96, with Duncan Maddinson (46*) leading the team to an attacking eight-wicket win.
Adam Berwick (68) led Balgownie to 7-240, before Jamie Fleming also claimed five wickets to dismiss Corrimal for 118.
Northern Districts will have to quickly turn their form around if they are to beat Balgownie next week, with the minor premiers suffering a shock loss to Helensburgh.
The Butchers were all out for 90 before Mitch McCrae helped his side to a five-wicket win with an unbeaten 51.
Finally, Dapto finished off their season on a high with a nine-wicket win over Port Kembla.
