Tennis Wollongong hosted the fifth round of the Junior Development Series at various courts across Wollongong on Sunday March 10. There were more than 140 entries across age groups from under 10s through to under 18s.

Tennis was played in great spirit in quite hot conditions. A big thanks to the officials and volunteers who run these tournaments and the families and spectators that come along to cheer on the players.

- Tennis NSW Foundation Coaching Course
Tennis NSW hosted 15 Illawarra coaches at a Foundation Coaching Course at Wollongong Tennis Club on March 3. Tennis NSW provided a Foundation Course at Beaton Park Tennis Club, to establish a coaching platform for all participants.
The majority of the participants were young players looking to develop skills in coaching, or who are currently assisting a qualified tennis coach at a local club.
Whilst the majority of the course was conducted on-court, participants also gained an awareness of their responsibilities as a coach to ensure a safe environment for all tennis participants.
- Tennis Wollongong Junior Age Championships
Entries are now being taken for the Tennis Wollongong Junior Age Championships to be held on Sunday April 7 2019 at Beaton Park. You must be a registered play in the Tennis Wollongong Saturday Junior competition to be eligible to play.
