Links Shell Cove progressed straight into the final on the Illawarra Pennant after a 3.5-1.5 win over The Grange last Sunday.

Jason Kast and Thomas Holz both had convincing 7/6 wins over Luke Rich and Glen Gibson respectively, with Dave Oppert the Links’ other winner with a 1 up win over Mitch Austin. Ben Howchin was the sole winner for The Grange 4/3 win over Bradley Wills. Danny Nesbitt and Trent Cadger halved the number one match.
Kiama and Port Kembla met in the other match with Port Kembla coming out on top 3-2. The match saw the Jason and Eddie Ward clash again in the battle of father versus son, with father Jason coming out on top again with a 5/4 win.
Mark Crossingham was Port Kembla’s other winner prevailing 5/4 over James Malin. Beau Fraser was Kiama’s winner winning 4/3 against Brad Watkins.
The remaining two matches were halved.
Port Kembla and Kiama will battle it out again on Sunday March 24 with the winner to progress to the final against Links Shell Cove the following week.
In division two all four teams were vying for a place in the final series and after the weekends results Wollongong qualified for the final after a tight tussle with Shoalhaven Heads, with four of the five matches decided on the 18th hole.
Stephen Webb 2/1, Garry Murphy 2 up and Justin Craig 1 up ensured the Wollongong victory. Lachlan Maddinson and Luke Taylor were both 1 up winners for Shoalhaven Heads.
The Vale defeated Links Shell Cove 4-1, winners for The Vale were Paul Fairall 5/4, Jason Cavanough 2/1, Jarrod Egbers 1 up and Jarrod Woolmer 4/3. Davey Gutierrez was successful for Links Shell Cove winning his match 1 up. With the win The Vale will play Shoalhaven Heads in the qualifying final on March 24, the winner earning the right to face Wollongong in the final.

Eddie Ward has been picked as a development player by to attend the Australian Junior Championships at Coolangatta Tweed Heads in April.
Four boys and girls have been selected to attend the Championships alongside the current representative teams, with Wollongong's Thomas Heaton set to play his part.
