The Tigers won the division two flag last year, after being relegated midway through the season as part of the top-six competition policy.
However, they will have the opportunity to take on powerhouse clubs Kiama and Wollongong Lions this year as part of a seven-team division.
Kiama gained revenge on the Lions in last year's grand final, winning the premiership 8.6 (54) to 5.11 (41) at North Dalton Park.
While the full draw is yet to be released, Kiama will unfurl the flag at home against Figtree, while the Lions will meet the Bulldogs in a Wollongong derby in the opening round on April 6.
There will also be two women's divisions this year.
AFL South Coast has also announced a return of a representative game, to be played against Hunter-Coast on May 18 at Newcastle.
