Dragons coach Paul McGregor provided an update on Frizell's condition on Wednesday, with the forward lacerating a testicle in Saturday night's loss to the Cowboys.
The injury required surgery and Frizell is expected to miss four to six weeks, with McGregor revealing Frizell's status will likely be guided by how he feels.
"Tyson's at training today, which is the first time, which is exciting to see the big fella back," McGregor said.
"He's walking around a bit gingerly, the legs are a bit further apart than normal, but he's going well.
"He's in good spirits, at this stage we'll wait and see, leave it up to the medical staff, but he's certainly not available next week and we'll just monitor it from there.
"Talking to the doc this morning, it's more around how he feels and time to heal and we'll just take it like that."
