A Holden Commodore wagon which disappeared from Kiama on Monday was discovered by Wollongong and Lake Illawarra police at a unit complex on New Dapto Road around 3pm.
A 19-year-old man and two 16-year-old boys were arrested at the scene. A 22-year-old female was arrested nearby.
They were taken back to Wollongong police station for questioning.
Lake Illawarra Chief Inspector Craig Ireland said officers were investigating any links to an alleged car-jacking on Daintree Avenue in Albion Park the night before.
A woman in her 70's was approached by a man to "get out of the car", he said, but the woman screamed and the perpetrator ran off.
"We'll see if there's a link or anyone matches the description given," Chief Inspector Ireland said.
