There is also work in the planning stages that will improve safety on the pass.
On Monday a truck mounted the median barrier, flipped and caught alight.
Miraculously, the driver was the only person injured, despite homes lining both sides of that section of the pass and other vehicles travelling up the hill.
"NSW Police are carrying out investigations into Monday's crash on Bulli Pass," said RMS Southern Region director Sam Knight.
"RMS will perform a safety review when details of the investigation are made available."
During the accident it is believed the truck mounted the median barrier and slid along it for several metres before rolling off.

"The median concrete barrier is designed to prevent the majority of traffic from entering the adjacent lane," Ms Knight said.
The accident occurred almost two kilometres south of the truck arrester bed on the hairpin at Bull Pass.
It is believed the brakes on the truck may have failed but at this stage it is not known whether that happened after the truck had already passed that arrester bed.
Ms Knight said there other safety measures along Bulli Pass, south of the arrester bed.
"As well as the barrier, there is also guardrail down the entire length of the pass and an emergency stopping barrier for heavy vehicles at the bottom of the pass with warning signs one kilometre and 300 metres in advance," she said.
In the five years to June 30, 2018, there have been 39 crashes on Bulli Pass - only two of which involved a heavy vehicle.
Ms Knight said it was hard to compare these figures to other similar roads.
"The difference in speed limits for light and heavy vehicles, traffic volumes and usage of Bulli Pass make it difficult to compare this road with other mountain passes," she said.
While a safety review is planned, during the 2019-20 financial year, some upgrades to Bulli Pass will take place.
RMS is planning for shoulder widening, enhanced centre lines and audio tactile line marking.
