When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain.
Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, what a lot of people call a 'natural high'. For example, the feeling that follows a run or workout is often described as "euphoric". That feeling can be accompanied by a positive and energising outlook on life.
Look at including walking, weight training, running, swimming, ball sports, yoga into your weekly plan. Movement is essential not only for our bodies but also our minds. If you're not moving enough at the moment, it's time to start. You owe it to not only your body but your mind.
