A Wombarra footy club will have their oval repaired sooner rather than later, and hopefully see justice delivered to the perpetrators who destroyed it.

Wollongong City Council staff have assessed the damage caused to Jim Allen Oval by hoons doing burnouts around 1am on Sunday. Work will commence this week to repair the damaged turf and top dress the oval.
It is hoped the works would be complete by this weekend's rugby league games, however an alternative ground will be found for the Northern Suburbs Bullpups and Bulldogs if not.
Meantime, Wollongong police Commander Superintendent Chris Craner said they believed two vehicles were involved in the incident which caused thousands of dollars worth of damage.
"It's just idiots doing stupid things, it's caused damage, it's caused fear," he said.
"Hopefully with the CCTV footage we've got, and the witnesses we speak to, we can lock someone up."
President of the juniors Kellie Favelle said she was devastated the offenders had torn up "close to half the field" just after the kids had started their season.
