While many families use the school holidays as an opportunity to get away, that won't be the case for the Illawarra's top junior golfers.

In fact, NSW's top juniors will be arriving in Wollongong for the Illawarra Junior Masters on April 23 and 24.
The event's rapid growth has forced organisers to hold it across two courses, The Links Shell Cove and Kiama.
Top junior Eddie Ward of Kiama said it's exciting to face such high-quality opposition in his own backyard.
"It's probably the biggest local tournament in the Illawarra of the year," Ward said.
"You get the best golfers from all around the state and you get to play against them in your home area and you see how you'll go.
"It's always good to play on your home tracks and I'm hoping it will benefit me, but you never know."
Ward is one of a growing crop of juniors taking up the sport and excelling.
Former professional Luke Grinham currently works across Golf Illawarra and the Illawarra Academy of Sport to help foster the considerable talent that exists within the region and he's looking forward to seeing further growth in the future.
"The local clubs are starting to be really supportive of junior golf," Grinham said. "The kids are starting to enjoy playing and now we've got some golfers on the PGA tour that are doing well, that's getting more people interested."
Grinham said the recent success of Illawarra products including Travis Smyth and Jordan Zunich has cleared a path for this crop of youngsters to follow.
For Ward, that path has involved receiving the Travis Smyth scholarship, an award that provides Ward with access to expert coaching.
"I was really stoked to get that scholarship," Ward said. "With the membership at St Michaels and coaching, it's a really good opportunity to develop myself as a player and a person.
"Travis has always been a good role model for me, he's done well so far with his golf and hopefully I can follow in his footsteps.
"Now I've got the scholarship, I'm going to start seeing him a fair bit, getting mentored by him and playing with him. It will be great."
