Playing their first full match of the season after last week's game against Kiama was cut short following the tragic death of Darren Williams, the Kangaroos recorded a 114-39 victory.
For Ryan, the most pleasing aspect was the fact all 22 players performed well.
"It was a good performance," Ryan said. "Obviously last week's events are never what you expect from a game of footy, but it was great the boys were able to bounce back and get the win.
"The Tigers really stuck it to us, but we had a full 22-man effort. It's always good to get the win and not rely on three or four players to get you over the line."
While Northern Districts challenged Figtree throughout the match, the Kangaroos were largely in control from start to finish, with Figtree running away with the game in the fourth quarter.
The win sets up a date with 2018 grand finalists Lions in a fortnight, following the Easter break, and Ryan is looking forward to seeing how his players respond to the challenge.
"It will be a good test for us. We've never actually beaten the Lions in first grade, so we're really hunting that first win.
"I think we're up to the task, we're playing good footy, the boys will be well rested after the Easter bye week."
In Saturday's other match, Bomaderry defeated Shellharbour 67-36. The Bulldogs had the bye, while Kiama's match with the Lions was postponed.
