The Lions warmed up with a 54-0 win in their season opener against Berry-Shoalhaven Heads, but declared their intentions of being a title contender with a stunning 36-10 win over an under-manned Knights at Kiama Showground.
They move to the top of the Group Seven ladder with Shellharbour, who continued their South Coast derby domination with a 50-nil thrashing of Stingrays at Fielders Field on Saturday night. Jayme McElhone scored four tries in the demolition, while Donte Efaraimo crossed over, who was a member of the Illawarra-South Coast under 23 Country Championship winning team.
Jamberoo are the only other unbeaten team in the competition after two rounds, a 20-nil victory over Albion Park-Oak Flats coming after a thrilling 11-all draw against Kiama.
Meanwhile, Milton-Ulladulla overcame a scare from Berry-Shoalhaven Heads before powering to a 52-26 win on Sunday. The Bulldogs struck early but found themselves 18-14 down, before three tries in seven minutes in the second half set the platform to runaway with victory late.
"It was aprobably a bit of a negative thing, two early tries and we put the cue in the rack and thought it was all going to be easy," Milton-Ulladulla coach Brendan Fernley said.
"But full credit to Berry they hung in and made us work for the result."
Elsewhere, Warilla beat Nowra-Bomaderry 16-14 in a thriller.
