The syndicate entry was one of two division one winning entries across the country in draw 3860 and each entry takes home a division one prize of $1 million.
In addition to taking home the division one windfall, the syndicate's System 8 QuickPick entry also won division three 12 times and division four 15 times, bolstering its total prize to $1,006,868.95.
Each of the 10 members of the winning syndicate will receive a share worth $100,686.90.
The syndicate was sold at Centretown Newsagency, in Wollongong's Crown Street Mall.
Centretown Newsagency owner Maria Colla couldn't contain her excitement over the division-one win.
"We've done it. This is amazing." Ms Colla said.
"We've been here about 19 years and this is our second division one winning syndicate. We've also sold about four division one winning entries and other top prizes during that time.
"I was only thinking the other day 'when are we going to have another division one?', and then it happens. It must be all that positive energy."
Ms Colla said the winning crew was one of the newsagency's long-running weekly syndicates.
"It's called Five Days of System 8, as it has a System 8 entry into five lottery draws," she said.
"Most of the people who play this syndicate are regulars who join the syndicate each week so we can't wait for them to come in so we can tell them they've won."
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Lauren Cooney said some syndicate members held unregistered entries and might still be unaware of their good fortune.
"This syndicate's entry was one of the two NSW entries to take home that coveted division one prize in last night's Monday Wednesday Lotto draw," she said.
"While we'll be reaching out to those syndicate members who registered their entry to their NSW Players Club cards, there are several syndicate members who have unregistered entries and may not yet know they're part of this winning group.
"If you purchased a share in a syndicate for last night's draw, today's the day to check it."
If you discover you're holding a winning share, call NSW Lotteries on 131 868 to start the prize claim process.
The winning numbers in Monday night's draw were 13, 41, 38, 42, 24 and 1. The supplementary numbers were 30 and 18.
