The Russell Vale junior and former apprentice electrician signed his first professional contract last year, a reward for a stunning NPL campaign with APIA Leichardt that netted 23 goals in 19 games

The deal will see him add to his 21 A-League appearances and look to build on a tally of three goals in 11 starts.

"I'm very excited and looking forward to what the next two years will hold," Murray told the Mariners website.

"I've really enjoyed the time I've had here; my family is very excited and I'm thrilled to be staying with the Mariners and committing to getting this club back to where we should be.

"This is everything I've always dreamed of, training hard every day, learning every day - it certainly does beat getting on the tools. To be a professional footballer is a dream come true, but I know the hard work still lies ahead of me."

Having been embraced by the Mariners faithful in his debut campaign, Murray said he's determined to give them plenty more to cheer about in the coming seasons.

"The fans have been brilliant, I've had plenty of time to speak with them - the amount of support and motivation they've given me over the past season is incredible," he said.

"To see them rock up every week is what puts a smile on my face. Seeing the fans makes you work even harder. That played a big part in my decision to commit to the Central Coast.

"This season for me has been a season to understand and learn as much as I can. Now it's time to put it all into play.

"What I have in front of me is a rare opportunity. I'm very grateful, so now it's up to me to give it all back to this club, to the fans and whack in a heap more goals."
