The Governess (otherwise know as Anne-Louise Rentell) will be leading the tours on Saturday evening, and didn't dismiss whether a haunting or two would take place.
The Governess has been wandering around Wollongong in 19th century garb for over a decade, with profound knowledge from yesteryear.
"She pops up now and then to dispense lessons on historical facts or absurdities," Ms Rentell said.
"Generally out of the ordinary, and because she's from the past I think she's interested in keeping us aware of stuff from the past ... things that shouldn't be forgotten."
The festival is a celebration of street performers with local and international talent being sourced for the three-day event.
The KISS Arts Fest has been run by local performers Dave Evans and Tamara Campbell for eight years, and this year received funding from Destination NSW and Festivals Australia.
Other family-friendly activities during the festival includes a family circus troupe who have been travelling the country for years; juggling comic Joel Salom and his robotic dog; Liam Power the magician; various musicians; plus contortionists, a bubble whisperer and comedians.
Kids will also love the annual raft race, lantern making and circus drop zone.
KISS Arts Festival, Kiama, Friday April 26 until Sunday April 28.
