Traffic may not be as heavy as in previous years due to some people taking off the three days between Easter and Anzac Day to extend their break.
6.50pm: Heavy northbound traffic has eased on the Princes Highway at Albion Park Rail.
6pm: According to the Transport Management Centre, motorists should allow around 10 minutes' extra travel time northbound on the Princes Highway at Albion Park Rail.
Also, northbound traffic has eased on the Princes Highway at Bomaderry.
5.20pm: The site of the motorcycle crash on the Macquarie Pass appears to have been cleared.
According to Ambulance NSW, the incident occurred about 4.15pm, about halfway up Macquarie Pass.
A 50-year-old male motorcyclist has come off his bike and is believed to have gone headfirst into a railing.
He sustained a head injury and is believed to be in a serious but stable condition.
He has been conveyed to Illawarra Regional Airport, and will be airlifted to St George Hospital.
5pm: According to the Transport Management Centre, motorists should allow extra travel time northbound on the Princes Highway through Bomaderry.
4.45pm: A motorcycle crash at the Macquarie Pass/Illawarra Highway is affecting traffic in both directions.
Emergency services are attending the scene.
Motorists should expect significant delays, exercise caution and allow extra travel time.
2.52pm: The Transport Management Centre is reporting that northbound traffic is beginning to ease on the Princes Highway through Milton, Ulladulla, Nowra and Albion Park.
However, motorists are still advised to plan ahead and be prepared for delays.
1.30pm: Normal traffic conditions appear to have resumed at Bombo.
12.42pm: According to LiveTraffic, a car has broken down at Bombo, on the Princes Highway near the Riverside Drive off-ramp.
Northbound traffic is affected and RMS are attending the scene. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and exercise caution.
11.50am: As expected the run through Albion Park Rail is getting heavy.
11.45am: The Princes Highway between Burrill Lake and Milton is also heavy in places, with motorists experiencing delays of up to 20 minutes.
11.43am: Motorists heading west along Jervis Bay Road can expect delays of around 10 minutes near the Princes Highway intersection.
11.40am: Traffic heading through Nowra and across the Shoalhaven River bridge is getting heavy.
Live Traffic is estimating delays of around 25 minutes.
9.30am: For those heading home from the South Coast on Monday, Roads and Maritime Services are tipping traffic delays of up to 30 minutes throughout the day.
The expected delays for northbound traffic are
Batemans Bay: Princes Highway. 10am-12pm - delays of up to 10 minutes extending to 20 minutes between noon and 3pm.
Ulladulla: Delays of up to 20 minutes between 10am and noon, then 10 minutes through to 3pm.
Nowra: Along the highway delays as long as 30 minutes are expected between 10am and 3pm.
Albion Park Rail: The usual bottleneck is expected to see delays up to 10 minutes between 10am and noon, extending to 20 minutes through to 3pm and then easing to 10-minute delays until 6pm.
Delays are also expected along the Princes Highway between Berry and Bomaderry due to roadworks and the removal of some overtaking lanes.
