The property at 29-31 Eastern Avenue, Mangerton sold at auction for $2.05 million at The Illawarra Auction Centre last Friday night.
Comprised of a four-bedroom principal residence plus teen, in-law or guest accommodation, the house sits on 2965sqm of land.
It was purchased by an Illawarra buyer.
The property was sold by Belle Property Illawarra principals Darren and Nicole Kay.
According to the selling agents, the property was well-received with more than 70 inspections during the three-week auction campaign.
The property previously sold for $1.75m in November 2015.
"Mangerton's quiet, tranquil and leafy surrounds combined with close proximity to quality schooling, university, hospitals, Wollongong CBD and beaches was a major attraction, especially for time poor executives," they said.
Other features include a light-filled layout with grand dual living zones, in/outdoor entertaining, and a Travertine terrace complete with solar-heated pool.
