The women's mentoring initiative is supported by Mercer and the University of Wollongong.
Professor Jennifer Martin, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation) will be a guest mentor at the May 8 walk.
Prof Martin will join some of her UOW colleagues who are current mentors, at the event which runs from 7.15am to 8.30am.
Mentor Walks is growing its support for women in the region, with this to be its fourth event in the Illawarra since 2018.
"We had a fantastic turn out of local women for our inaugural event and we're excited to hold another Mentor Walks' event so local mentors can extend their expertise and experience to even more Illawarra women," Mentor Walks co-founder Bobbi Mahlab said.
Mahlab and fellow businesswoman Adina Jacobs established the not-for-profit career building initiative for women and launched it in Sydney in 2016.
It has since expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Wollongong, Canberra and Baw Baw Shire. To date, more than 1400 women have participated.
The original concept was created by Australian businesswoman Michelle Garnaut in China in 2013.
Women can register here for the Wollongong walk on May 8.
