A record number of exhibitors will help students explore careers at the Illawarra Schools Career Expo on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Illawarra Sports Stadium. The expo's 110 exhibitors assist Year 9 to 12 by helping them discover what jobs are in demand now and in the future. They will also be able to learn about how technology will affect jobs, present and upcoming skill shortage areas and get advice on subject selection. The annual expo is designed to increase young people's chances of making a good decisions about choosing a future career. The Expo has exhibitors from a broad range of industries and further education. The event also caters for parents and carers by with a two-hour session on Tuesday afternoon so they can have some quality discussions with exhibitors. NSW Department of Education, BlueScope WIN Community Partnership Program, University of Wollongong, TAFE NSW, Defence Force Recruiting and Skillsroad/Apprenticeship Support Australia are partnering the two day exhibition.
