Illawarra motorists heading to Sydney via the Hume Motorway on Monday morning have been warned to expect significant delays following an earlier truck fire at Douglas Park.

One of two northbound lanes on the highway was closed due to the fire, which happened near Moreton Park Road just after 7.30am.
All lanes have now reopened. The truck is in the breakdown lane but the incident is still causing delays.
Traffic is very heavy and is slow back to the Picton Road.
Motorists are advised to allow plenty of extra travel time and expect delays.
Motorists should also exercise caution as emergency services, traffic crews and the truck involved remain on the side of the road.
