The Illawarra's top hockey players are set for a crucial weekend of play, with the men's competition set for the penultimate round of regular season.
With teams jostling for position, all clubs will be hoping to secure victories over the weekend.
After moving to the top of the table last week with a 6-2 win over Fairy Meadow, Albion Park White will face Wests Illawarra Blue.
Wests Blue are in good form, however, having defeated University Blue 5-4 last weekend. That win saw the sixth-placed Wests Blue maintain contact with the competition's top four. It also prevented Uni Blue from moving to the top of the ladder, with the side now sitting in fourth-placed.
Uni Blue will be desperate to bounce back from the defeat, with the side facing Wests Red on Sunday. A Uni loss will see the side slide to fifth on the ladder, with Wests Red leapfrogging them on the ladder.
Fresh after a week off, Albion Park Green will aim to ensure they remain in the hunt to finish on top of the table, with the side facing ninth-placed Seacliff.
Seacliff lost 3-2 to Kiama last week, with Kiama facing University Gold on Sunday. Fairy Meadow have the bye.
In the women's competition, ladder leaders University will face Railway Greys, while Albion Park will take on Fairy Meadow. Wests are set for a tough match with Gerringong, Figtree Unanderra will play Jamberoo and Robertson will do battle with Seacliff.
