A Wollongong restaurant recently described by Bruce Tyrrell, of Tyrrell's Wines, as producing one of the best meals he has ever eaten in Australia is hosting a Leconfield Wine Dinner on June 7.

Mr Tyrrell made the comment about Caveau Restaurant after a Tyrrell's winer dinner at the Keira Street eatery in October 2018.
He said Tom Chiumento and Simon Evans and their team were creating innovative, creative and delicious meals that ranked up there with anything served at the most prestigious restaurants in the nation.
Leconfield was established in Coonawarra in 1974 by Dr Richard Hamilton but vines were planted int the area 100 years ago.
Leconfield has produced top quality wines in Coonawarra and McLaren Vale for decades and its wine maker Paul Gordon is visiting Wollongong to take diners on a journey of five Leconfield wines matched with five courses from the chefs at Caveau using seasonal, local and native produce.
