Former World Boxing Association light heavyweight champion Danny Green has challenged Shannan "The Bulli Blaster" Taylor to a fight later this year.Green last week announced he was coming out of retirement to fight Anthony Mundine but "The Man" has put that possible fight on the backburner for the time being.Mundine scored a points win over Taylor in their WBA international middleweight title fight at WIN Entertainment Centre last week."We said we probably would accept (Green's challenge) but at nothing bigger than super middleweight (76.2kg)," Taylor's trainer Brad Gallagher said yesterday.Taylor fought Mundine at middleweight (72.57kg) and said later that he planned to fight in future in the junior middleweight division.Matchmaker Angelo Hyder contacted the Taylor camp late yesterday afternoon to convey the Green challenge."We are a bit miffed that Green came out the day before the Mundine fight (against Taylor) announcing his comeback from retirement," Gallagher said."Shannan fought heaps better against Mundine than Green did."A possible date and venue would still need to be decided.
