The new album, Iguana, was named in part for the infamous Kings Cross bar but also for the challenges placed in front of the duo with writing and recording a follow-up album to their debut Alright Already.
"We honed in on this idea of all of the songs fitting like a soundtrack to a regretful, emotional night out," lead singer David Novak said.
"We all went through some sh** throughout the writing of the album ... we were kind of being a bit nostalgic about how we used to go our in Kings Cross and Potts Point and forget all our troubles, and exacerbate all our troubles."
The Australian tour will make its way to capital cities and regional centres, with Wollongong scheduled for Thursday June 13.
