They'll continue to bake and brew throughout June to help fund Cancer Council's life-saving research, prevention, support programs and information services.
On Wednesday, staff from Cancer Council's southern region office joined with organisations across Wollongong university's innovation campus to hold their own morning tea event.
Community relations co-ordinator Sari Boschiero said it was one of many events being held by businesses, groups and individuals across the region.
"Our southern region fundraising target for Australia's Biggest Morning Tea is $100,000 - and we're well on the way to reaching that," she said.
"That money will go towards all our local support services and our information centre at Wollongong Hospital, as well as to research.
"The great thing about the morning tea is that anyone can get involved, and it's a great opportunity for those touched by cancer or for community or business groups to come together for a cause."
