In the five years to September 2017, there were 46 crashes at the interchange; 33 of those saw drivers or passengers injured.

To address that crash history, Roads and Maritime Services has cut the speed limit on some roads linking into the interchange.
The speed limit will be reduced from 80km/h to 60km/h on the Lake Entrance Road approach to the roundabout for 550 metres.
It will also drop for 250 metres on East West Link and at the on- and off-ramps to the Princes Highway.
The changes to the speed limits come into effect on Monday.
