There were many high jinks and horsing around when the stars of Saddle Club met the children from Camp Quality in Wollongong yesterday.Young actors Lauren Dixon, Victoria Campbell and Ariel Kaplan hosted a cup cake-laden party for the sick children, showering them with showbags and attention in the WIN TV boardroom.Corrimal's Grace Favelle, 9, suffered from leukaemia two years ago and said meeting her hero, 13-year-old Canadian star Lauren - who plays Stevie in the hit show - was a big boost to her spirits. "I have been watching Saddle Club for a long time and Stevie is kind and funny," Grace said. "I like everything about the show."The Canadian-Australian co-production is shot in Daylesford, Victoria, and is now in its third series and broadcast in more than 50 countries, including the United States.Lauren spent nine months filming the new series in Australia but didn't suffer from homesickness because she was having too much fun. "I did miss my family, but I also felt like I was with family," Lauren said. "It's the best thing in the world to know that we reach out to people and can touch people's lives."We meet a lot of kids and I think it is very special."Later in the day the three stars gave a singing, dancing, horse-themed performance at Westfield Figtree.Saddle Club airs on WIN TV at 10am every Saturday.
